Welcome to Aylesbury Grammar School

Nurturing Character since 1598

Aylesbury Grammar School has a long history of inspiring and nurturing our young people to explore for themselves who they want to be and find their place in the world.

Our vision as a ‘free school for Aylesbury’ is to give every student irrespective of background and circumstance an opportunity to flourish. Providing an education which is unparalleled in breadth and quality of opportunity, striving to become international leaders in academic and pastoral development.

We want our students to be challenged to achieve their very best, to flourish in all they do and to share a positive outlook with others.

‘(The students) felt the school had consistently encouraged and enabled them to do well. They felt the school valued them as individuals and they in turn were enormously proud to belong to the school.’

Ralph Batten, on behalf of Buckinghamshire Learning Trust, January 2016
