Last Chance for the AGS Burns Night Spectacular!

There ain’t no party like an AGS Burns Night party and the good news is that it’s not too late to book your place.

On Saturday, 28th January, Foundation Hall is transformed into a Scottish wonderland, where you will eat delicious food, take part in some traditional Scottish dancing, and witness a haggis being welcomed by Scottish pipers and addressed by Head of Drama, Rob Warner.  Kilts and sporrans are welcomed but not compulsory (and worn entirely at their owner’s risk).

So, if you want to come, simply call Kate Locke on 07714837030.  But time is running out so please call today.

Lang may yer lum reek.

AGS PTA Art & Craft Fair

Don’t forget Saturday 18th November is the date of the AGS Art Fair and Christmas Market.  And what’s more, entry is completely free for everyone.
Seventy artists and crafters from across Buckinghamshire will be showing and selling their work at the AGS between 10.30am and 3.30pm.  Our Art Café will be ready with delicious bakes and tempting treats.  And there will be some amazing craft and artisan demonstrations including pottery and stonemasonry.
So, come along with the whole family for a truly brilliant event.  You’ll get yourself organised for Christmas and help raise vital funds for AGS.
Thanks so much.

The School Production Needs YOU!
As I am sure you are aware in the week before October Half Term we are staging our annual joint Production with the High School.
Or show this year is the musical Loserville.  This is a new West End musical written by ex-members of the band Busted.  It is an uplifting, energetic and highly entertaining show.  The musical is set in 1971 and charts how a computer nerd invents e-mail and finds true love.
Our cast and crew of over 70 students having been working flat out every lunchtime and for hours after school to perfect the show.  Our school shows quite rightly have a high reputation for proving really terrific nights out.
But a show is no good without an audience and this is where you come in.  Tickets are on sale via ParentPay for £13.50 each.  If you have trouble accessing the tickets on-line or have already purchased tickets on-line and want to buy some more you can also purchase tickets from the finance office and pay by cheque payable to “Aylesbury Grammar School’.
Do encourage as many friends and family to come along and support the hard work and talent of our students.
The performances are at 7pm in the Aylesbury Grammar School Hall on Wednesday 18th, Thursday 19th and Friday 20th October 2017.  There is good availability for all three performances but get in quickly as ticket sales are picking up fast especially for Friday night.
