No one feels lost in a crowd at AGS due to effective pastoral care with specialist tutors, Heads of Year, and Heads of House.  We are very proud of our House and Prefect systems that embody both our tradition and progressive ethos.  Good behaviour and good appearance are standards that are carefully maintained, and we work with both parents and students to bring the best out of each individual who enters the school.

We hope that each pupil, on leaving AGS, will have developed a rounded personality, ready to continue with higher education and employment.  Our curriculum and teaching methods have helped make our public examination results outstanding, but the best reward is to see each boy develop his potential and preparedness to play a positive role in society.
