The annual Sportsman’s Dinner brought together 180 Old Aylesburians, current students and members of staff in the newly renovated Foundation Hall to celebrate the great sporting tradition of AGS.
A champagne reception was followed by a three-course dinner, an excellent, anecdote-packed speech from Sky Sports commentator Mark Robson and a raffle with an array of generously donated prizes.
The event on 29th November saw a fantastic number of former students returning to the school, with many memories of sporting battle being traded between different generations over a glass, or two, of wine.
Head Master Mr Lehec gave a glowing review of the evening’s proceedings: ‘This was another memorable evening in the Aylesbury Grammar School calendar which showcased the passion and success for sport now and in years gone by.’
Thanks to the staff whose hard work made the event possible, and to all those who came along, we hope to see you again next year!
