To apply for a place in Year 8 or 9, parents must contact Buckinghamshire County Council. The BCC website has information on school admissions - click here

You may contact BCC using the following details: call 01296 383250 or email admissions@buckscc.gov.uk

For a place in Year 10 apply directly to the school.  The school will follow the process described in the Year 10 and 11 Admissions procedure.

Admission to Year 10 or 11

The County Council delegates responsibility for decisions on admission to Year 10 and Year 11 to individual secondary schools.  Parents wishing to apply for a place at AGS should contact the school.
Your son will normally be invited for testing.  This will be the case even if he is currently in another grammar school (either in Buckinghamshire or elsewhere) since the school must establish both his academic potential, and his actual attainment in the subjects we could offer for the GCSE course.
If your son is successful in this selection process, he will be deemed qualified for a place in this school.  However, this does not guarantee a place, as all the tutor groups in the year applied for may be full.  In this case you may ask for him to be placed on a waiting list.  This waiting list will be kept until the end of September each year, then a new one started.

Note that qualification for a place in Year 10 or 11 at one Buckinghamshire Grammar School does not mean that your son is qualified at any other Buckinghamshire Grammar School.
