Discovering more about and celebrating LGBT+ History Month
As part of LGBT+ History month AGS have been learning more about equality and diversity to support the LGBT+ community and become better allies with our very first AGS Diversity focus week.
The KS3 Science club made rainbows in measuring cylinders using acids, alkalis and indicators. Students in Year 9 presented to Year 7 students on the importance of diversity and our Sixth Form Pride Leaders ran a cake sale to raise funds for MindOut charity.
During lunchtimes the Professor William Mead library hosted an LGBT+ Kahoot Quiz looking at areas related to LGBT History Month and the Computing department displayed engaging posters of some fantastic LGBTQ+ role models in STEM.
