Once an Aylesburian, always an Aylesburian
The 1st XV Rugby match against Latymer Upper School on Saturday 20 November 2023 was a game played in memory of Ed Dean (Denson ’12) who sadly passed away this year. It was a special occasion to be able to reveal a tree and bench in Ed’s memory; helping to ensure his legacy will live on forever.
Hearing stories and memories from friends and family was equally special and it was amazing to have Ed’s parents at the match to present the ‘Ed Dean Cup’, to the first recipient, Eliott Godley (Ha13), for seven years of commitment whilst demonstrating high standards in the core values of Rugby.
Thank you so much to Gary Ramsbottom for organising the event and raising significant funds to remember Ed and support further students in the future. Thank you to all the staff (past and present) who joined the OAs, family and friends for a very special day.
