A Level Post Results Services – options and fees
Year 13s who have a university place which is reliant on the result can ask for a Priority Review of Marking which should be returned before the university admission deadlines. Otherwise go for an ordinary review. You are also advised to let your university know that you are applied for a review so that they can hold your place. The exam board will notify them if your grade goes up or down as the result of a review.
If the results are not what you expected, and you are not asking for a Priority Review, you are advised to apply for a Priority Copy of the paper which can then be shown to staff and their advice sought about asking for a review.
It is always advisable to get a copy first as reviews rarely result in an improved overall grade and sometimes result in lower marks. Do also check the grade boundaries as it is rare for marks to go up by more than 2 or 3.
In order to request a service you will need the paper codes, not the specification code. These were on the Component Results sheet that you were given when you came in to collect your results. They are not included in your results on Pupil Portal. You can also find them on your exam timetable. If you are struggling to find them then please email the exams office (exams@ags.bucks.sch.uk).
Please note that Non-Examination Assessments cannot be reviewed.

A clerical re-check/review of the original marking has three possible outcomes:

Priority Copy (Y13) 25 August 2025
Priority Review (Y11) ** 1 September 2025
Priority Copy (GCSE) 3 September 2025
Non Priority Copy 20 September 2025
Non Priority Copy for teaching and learning purposes 20 September 2025

All GCSE requests other than English and Maths will be treated as non-priority.
NB: the turn around time for non-priority access to scripts (A2) is currently 10 working days. However we will ensure that all are processed in time for you to decide if you want to go for a review.
Please make sure that you are regularly checking your school email account as if we have any questions about your request then we will contact you through that.
