Contact the PTA
The PTA can be contacted via the school.
Welcome to our school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) page! We are thrilled to have you join our vibrant and engaged community dedicated to supporting the success and well-being of our students.
The PTA plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration between parents, teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience for all. Through various initiatives, events, and fundraisers we strive to create a positive and enriching environment where every child can thrive.
Join us in making a difference and building a strong partnership that benefits our school and its students.
How can I help?
You can help support the PTA in a variety of ways depending on how much time you can spare.
The PTA is a group of parents who organise and run events, with the support of the school, to raise funds for AGS. The PTA meets monthly to brainstorm and organise, usually on-line but with one meeting a term in person, and we would love you to join us.
We are looking for regular members of the PTA who can take on a specific role such as Communications Officer or Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Class Reps, help with the SHU Shop (Second Hand Uniform) and lots of occasional support at events.
We run a variety of events throughout the school year, such as the Curry & Quiz Night, the Summer Fete, Winter and Summer Raffles, the 50:50 Club, run a bar at school events such as Cabaret and organise a welcome event for new families in their first term. Our events are always well supported and provide a great opportunity to meet other parents and staff.
The money that the PTA raises is vital for those extras that education budgets struggle to support. Last year, the PTA raised funds to buy a new minibus and supported many of the clubs and societies that enrich the lives of the students.
We can always use more hands and explore new ideas and it is critical that The PTA evolves as the generations of Aylesburians move through the school, so please do consider getting involved.
Keeping In Touch
MCAS – we post key information and updates to the school community via Weekly News that comes out to all families on the My Child At School App
Class Rep Network – we encourage a rep per class to sit on a WhatsApp group with other class reps from their year to relay information to their class (usually also by WhatsApp)
Classlist – we have set up our school on www.classlist.com for all parents to join so they can be in touch with each other and also see messages about PTA events. This overlaps in some ways with WhatsApp but is GDPR compliant.
You can always contact us about anything via our email pta@ags.bucks.sch.uk
We would love to hear from you!
